About Bowen Therapy:

Bowen Therapy is a gentle, non invasive, treatment that works on the connective soft tissue, or fascia, within the body. Treatment consists of a series of light rolling moves (through clothing on people) that triggers the lymphatic and circulatory systems to remove toxins, increase mobility and start healing.

Horse and rider Bowen Therapy:

Often crookedness in the rider will be reflected in the horse and vice versa. In the image below you can see that the rider has an elevated hip and shoulder on the left side. To compensate for the rider, the horse is lifting the opposite side of its body to ensure that they remain collectively balanced.  When the horse compensates for the rider, the horse will develop tension and discomfort in its body and likewise the same can be true about the horse being imbalanced and effecting the rider. Often the easiest way to help the horse is by helping the rider bring their body back in to alignment and vice versa.
