• In the event of an accident or damage, the hirer/lease is liable to pay a $500 insurance excess or the value of the repairs if less than the excess
  • In the event the float is returned unclean a cleaning fee of $50 will be charged
  • In the event the float is returned late a fee of $10 per hour will be charged. Should the late return of the float impact on the next booking then the customer will be responsible for paying the total lost hire amount
  • The float may be towed only by the Hirer/Leasee listed in this agreement. Should the float be towed by someone other than the Hirer/Leasee and is damaged or involved in an accident, all costs of salvage, repair and any third party damages are the responsibility of the Hirer/Leasee.
  • The Hirer/Leasee acknowledges that they must pay on demand from the owner any amount in which they are liable for under this agreement.
  • The Hirer/Leasee will ensure that they keep and maintain the float in its current state and condition, fair wear and tear accepted.
  • The Hirer/Leasee will ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to ensure the security of the float from theft or damage, including parking securely and ensuring that the float is locked or immobilized from theft.
  • The owner of the horse float accepts no responsibility for personal items belonging to the Hirer/Leasee should they be stolen from the horse float.
  • The owner of the horse float shall provide the float in a safe and roadworthy condition.  It is the responsibility of the Hirer/Leasee to inspect the float prior to collection.  Collection will be deemed confirmation that the Hirer/Leasee is satisfied with the condition.
  • The owner of the horse float accepts no responsibility of harm that may come to any horse or pony transported in the horse float.
  • If the horse float is involved in an accident or break down the Hirer/Leasee will immediately notify the Horse Float Owner
  • The Hirer/Leasee is responsible for any punctures, tyre or rim damage that occurs during the hire period.
  • In the event of an accident, breakdown or incident, the owner of the float is not obliged to refund the unused hire period and a replacement float will only be provided at the discretion of the Horse Float Owner.  Furthermore, the owner of the horse float is not obliged to refund any incurred costs such as competition entry fees should the Hirer/Leasee not be able to attend.
  • In the event the Hirer/Leasee wishes to terminate the agreement prior to the agreed return date and time, there is no obligation on the owner to provide a refund for the balance of the hie period. Any refund offered is at the discretion of the Horse Float Owner
  • In the event of damage caused to the float by a previous customer resulting in the float no longer being available for your booking, you will be offered an alternative float at the same price as your original booking. If an alternative is not available, you will be refunded your booking in full. Lost entry fees or other costs will not be reimbursed.
  • The Horse Float Owner has the right to terminate the Horse Float Hire Agreement and take immediate possession of the Horse Float should the Hirer/Leasee fail to comply with any of the terms and conditions. This extends to entering the property of the Hirer/Leasee to take possession of the horse float.
  • Cancellation charges are as follows:
    • Cancelled up to 5 days before pick up date/time: Full refund
    • Cancelled between 1 – 4 days before pick up date/time: 50% refund
    • Cancelled within 24 hours of pick up date and time: No refund
    • Hirer/Leasee does not collect as agreed: No refund
    • Horse float is returned early: No refund
    • Long term hire cancelled within the first month: No refund
